Profile

Robin's experience includes over thirty years as a mother, teacher, educator and counsellor/ psychotherapist working with people of all ages.

For 21 years she worked as an early childhood teacher in the Yarra Valley area; and as a supervisor of teacher trainees at university and Tafe. She incorporated counselling into her teaching by training as an Adlerian counsellor and parent educator in the late 1980’s.

In the mid-1990’s Robin completed further training as a Philophonetics practitioner (now called Psychophonetics), and from 1995-1999 practiced at the Melbourne Therapy and Medical Centre, and at the Clayton Whole Health and Medical Clinic. 

Alongside counselling, Robin also worked for several years as the college coordinator/vice-principal, teacher and supervisor in the Advanced Diploma counselling training courses at Persephone College in Melbourne; as well as doing other contract teaching and welfare work in a number of other organisations.

From 2001-2006 Robin was living in WA where in 2005, she completed a PhD research thesis on the holistic nature of change and transformation through Psychophonetics psychotherapy, based on the client's experience of change.

Now living near Ballarat, Robin also enjoys writing and being a grandmother.
